...And a Happy New Year to all!
I haven't been very active this past year, but I hope to do so in 2018 (fingers crossed). I'm just glad I got this one done just in time for the end of the year!
May everyone have a prosperous year ahead! Cheers!

Dammit all to hell...! Zephyr cursed inwardly as she trudged as fast as she could along the snowy sidewalk, taking care not to slip and fall, and most especially keeping the festively-wrapped package in her possession while making sure it wasn't crushed by the strength of her arm. The guy wrapping her gift took for-fucking-ever to finish, and she was running late for the party as it is. At this rate they were gonna start without her, and Kite would beat her to the best part of the turkey.
Why the Creator never gave her teleportation powers, she'd never know.
To her relief though, the familiar house was coming up in sight, and she willed her tired legs forward all she could. Thankfully she reached the door and not later than a minute, though she was a little out of breath. She rang the doorbell, and was soon greeted by a familiar short-haired brunette in orange.
"Where were you!?" Kite scolded. "We've been waiting for you all day!"
"I know, I know!" Zephyr quickly made her way in the house and out of the cold, hanging her jacket up the coatrack while keeping her gift snug in her arm. "But hey, I'm here, yeah? That's what's important! And I got a gift too!"
"Yeah, yeah," Kite murmured, rolling her eyes. "Come on, we're just setting up the tree here."
Zephyr followed the other girl into the living room, where a potted pine tree with Christmas décor stood in the corner of the room. Underneath the tree were neatly wrapped presents in all sorts of colorful wrapping, all in varying shapes and sizes. A girl in black, casual clothing peered from behind the tree, and upon seeing Zephyr, she gave the rowdy traveler a bemused smile.
"Finally came to join us, eh?"
"Yeah," Zephyr grinned sheepishly. "Do I just put this down here?"
"Yes, right there."
"Thanks." The traveler put down her gift. "And sorry about being late, my Christmas shopping held me up, heh..."
"Yes, right there."
"Thanks." The traveler put down her gift. "And sorry about being late, my Christmas shopping held me up, heh..."
Kite scoffed as she knelt down next to the box of Christmas décor. "If you hadn't been procrastinating over getting a gift the last few days then you would have been here a lot earlier."
"Yeah, yeah, quit rubbing it in my face already, jeez," Zephyr hissed.
"Now, now, pay her no mind. It's the most wonderful time of the year, and I want neither of you lashing at each other's throats for once. Can you two do that?"
Zephyr and Kite shared an annoyed glare at each other, but otherwise complied. "Yes, Creator."
"Good," The Creator placed the last ball on the tree, and rubbed on her stomach as she turned and walked towards the kitchen. "Now I'm famished, and I'm sure both of you are too, so let's sit down and have dinner already, shall we?"
The two had their disagreements often if not always, but for once, this was something they both could agree on as they made their way to the kitchen, where their lovely feast awaited.
