Blue eyes stared sleepily at the room's dark ceiling. It had been a while since they remained that way, and Sapphire couldn't tell how long it had been since she'd been abruptly woken from her dreamless sleep. She'd tossed and turned earlier, trying to get a comfortable position and hoping it would help. Eventually her eyelids wouldn't stop opening on their own, and, in submission, she'd settled to lying flat on her back, staring upwards at nothing.

Comestible Shop

Comestible shops are basically groceries. This was inspired from the course I was majoring in and the shop I usually frequent for ingredients. Back then I had thought of doing my internship at one of these places, but later on I ended up to pursue Japanese cuisine instead.

Sunlit Sakura

As part of my slow migration from dA and lack of content for the time being since my newest content so far is the latest chapter of One-Third, here's an old picture I took in Ueno Park during my trip there last April:

I normally don't post photos except on my Facebook, but I loved this one because of how pink and vibrant the sakura was. Most of the other sakura trees then were pale (almost lavender) and this was one of a few that were this pink.

Which reminds me, I have yet to finish my collection of pictures from Gunma featuring my OCs… I should really get that done with.

Off to Japan tomorrow, and I'll be visiting the Gunma prefecture. I'll be seeing a lot of mountains, possible onsen (hot springs), trees in the autumn FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FOREVER, and best of all, Japanese dishes.

Often when I travel I would write stories on my computer. Or I would end up thinking about, "What if my characters were in these places and were interacting with each other?" So I've decided to document my next trip to Japan by taking pictures of places I go to and I would draw my OCs doing all sorts of stuff in them.

Been a while since I used my tablet. This was a lot of fun to do. I originally wanted to put Zephyr, Tori, and Kite, but then I decided to throw Vir in there just so I have a reason to annoy Tori moar for the heck of it. 

I don't know why, but whenever I go to Japan, I always wear Tori colors (pink, white, blue, and brown) for some reason.

"Ah. I need to exchange currencies." Tori pulled out an envelope of pokédollars, counting the amount of bills inside. "I can't pay for anything with the kind of money I have on hand. I need to get it exchanged for sparks."

"Sparks?"

"Yes. Turns out that's what they call money in this city."

"Oh, I see."

Lyngbakr

The Lyngbakr is an Icelandic mythical creature whose name literally means heather back; it was a giant whale that had heather growing out of its back. It is first mentioned in the Icelandic saga Örvar-Oddr, where the hero Oddr and his crew encounter the creature in the sea, posing as an island of heather. They later find out this island was actually swallowed up by the Hafgufa (Kraken), camouflaged as two rocks they passed in the water sometime earlier.
