Nimni is one of Eldritch's iconic Pokémon next to his Munna, Nomno. Fierce and loyal, Nimni reflects Eldritch's cool-headed personality, as well as his flexibility and precision in battle.

It is not known how long Nimni has been with Eldritch, but his first appearance was when Eldritch met Tori in the Dreamyard. Eldritch challenged Tori into a battle against her Snivy, Neira, and while Tori had the type advantage, Nimni still proved himself a worthy foe against her even though he had lost. Since then he has almost always been sent to face Tori's Neira one-on-one, soon resulting in the two starters to form a bond that seems to be more than just friendly rivalry…
